LittleMommy(9) used to do that. I finally gave up bathing her at bedtime and threw her in the tub any time she had just finished having a bowel movement.
I've also heard of moms putting the training potty IN the bathtub, so if he gives any warning (which I'm getting the impression that he _doesn't_!), you can sit him on the potty.
My midwife did that with her son and by 18 months he was pooping in the potty almost exclusively...
Hey, it's worth a try... Otherwise, I'm with the idea of a bath AFTER the poops!
